Due Santi Rosso is a noble Italian red wine produced at the Eugene Constantin Campus of the University of Dallas just outside of Rome.
The wine is made from 100% estate grown merlot and cabernet sauvignon. The ancient soils and hillside orientation coupled with the maritime breeze create an extraordinary growing environment for these classic grape varieties.
The 2015 wine is a vibrant ruby color with a fetching aroma of fresh currant dried cherry and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, there is an immediate refreshing quality a silky texture and a persistent finish. This is wine for contemplation and seasoning a fine meal.
2015 is the first vintage offered directly to UD alumni and faculty. A portion of proceeds from the sale of this wine will be used for the benefit of the University of Dallas.
This is a very limited production, and we expect to be sold out quickly.
